Our hives are not treated until fall, after excess honey has been harvested. Only an organic compound is used that is naturally found in vegetables, fruits, nuts, and more. It is not harmful to honeybees. These treatments help our bees fight disease, kill parasites, and survive the long winter.
Crystallization of honey is a natural process. As this honey is pure and untreated it may crystallize at a faster rate. This does not change the taste or nutrition of your honey. If it crystallizes, you may place the glass jar in a warm pot of water, careful not to heat it to a boil, until it returns to liquid form.
